Oceanic Proportions
The Longest Swim

Progea Associate Director of Sustainability Ben Lecomte is swimming across an ocean. And it’s not the first time he’s done it. In 1998, he became the first man to swim across the Atlantic Ocean without a kickboard. He did it to raise money and awareness for cancer research and as a tribute to his father.

Now he’s doing it again

Now he’s doing it again

But this time he’s tackling the Pacific Ocean from Tokyo to San Francisco. That’s some 5500 miles, swimming 8 hours per day, 7 days a week for a total of 180 days in the ocean. His goal is to raise awareness for his passion, environmental sustainability, and to make our world and our oceans as viable as they can be for future generations. And we at Progea are proud to be sponsoring his swim.
